A\u00a0Spotify follow button<\/a>\u00a0lets you follow someone on Spotify. You\u2019ll get to see what they\u2019re listening to in your Friend Feed, if their activity is public rather than private. (Spotify users can start a \u201cprivate session\u201d if they don\u2019t want their friends to see what they\u2019re listening to.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using a follow button makes it super easy to follow someone, without trying to find them on Spotify\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 which can be a bit fiddly. You simply click the button and, hey presto, you\u2019re following them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also use a Spotify Follow Button to follow artists, rather than regular users: that way, you\u2019ll be one of the first to know when they release something new. Spotify will alert you when a new track or album by that artist comes out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What happens when you follow someone on Spotify?<\/a>

When you follow a friend on Spotify, you\u2019ll see what they\u2019re listening to in your \u201cFriend Activity\u201d<\/strong>, which is a feed that appears down the right-hand side of your desktop app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can\u2019t see this, click on the downward arrow on the top right, then click Settings. Go to Display Options, and change Show Friend Activity to \u201con\u201d (green).\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Spotify doesn\u2019t notify you when someone starts following you \u2013 but you can see a list of all your followers.\u00a0Simply go to your profile (by clicking on your name) then click on the \u201cFollowers\u201d link. This will show all your followers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll see a profile photo for each follower, plus their name, their number of followers, and a button to \u201cFollow\u201d them, if you aren\u2019t already doing so.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What will people see when they follow me on Spotify?<\/a>

When someone follows you on Spotify, they\u2019ll be able to see some information about the music you listen to and about the other Spotify users you\u2019re connected with.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
